Discovering Devices

Some of my routers report their S0 interface address on the ANI Discovery Matrix and others report their FA interface address. I have the local routers FA interface set as a seed device on all of them because they all have firewalls in front of the local routers. What determines what address is used in the discovery.

The name server order under Campus Manager > Admin > Device Discovery > Discovery Settings controls which address will be used as the primary management address.

I am using ANI Server Version 4.2 and have no Device Discovery>Discovery Settings under Campus Manager>Admin. My Discovery Settings is under Server Configuration>ANI Server Admin and there is no Name Server Order. Do you know where the Name Server Order is with Verson 4.2?

I was able to fix my problem by adding the cdp source-interface cmd to the devices using their s0 interface ip address on the ANI Discovery Matrix.
