Hi,
Can a Cisco 3550 poe switch be used to provide inline power to AP 1242 AG which is 802.3af compliant?

Hi Delon,
Unfortunately the 3550 - 24 PWR only supports Cisco prestandard PoE. Here are a few reference docs with this note;
