Hallo

Why do interface resets occur? Is it bad data, a faulty cable?

I know it is the telecom company's problem and they need to sort it out if an interface reset constantly takes place.

Hi WVW

Interface Resets happens maily due to flap observed in the link connected on the interface.

You can check out for the frequency of the interface resets or the rate of increase of resets.

If its on an alarming note then you need to check the physical link up by taking a loop from your local telco.

You can also check out for other parameters like reliability and other errors to make sure that your link is on healthy condition..
