Hi All,
I was troubleshooting some MTU issues on a Cisco 3750 Switch with Advanced IP Services Software. I came across a discussion, for a known bug issue that in order for system MTU to work we have to "downgrade" to IP BASE.
is that really a known issue? Is it fixed?
Regards.

Hi,
I'm interested in that also. We've had an issue this week with Dell servers running TOE (TCP Offload Engine.) This increases the size of the frame to 128000 Bytes which is fragmented into a lot of frames. On a remote site, connected with 3750's over a LES1000, we get a huge amount of retransmissions, which then reorders and resends the entire 128K frame again making it prolifically slow. It's ok across the local LAN and also from other sites. Trying to find out why this happens here? These switches are 3750 and using Advanced Services???
Are your issues similar?
Cheers.

Yes, somewhat similar. We used 3750 to connect between routers. We tried to increase MTU to a value of 1600 and noticed that packets were droped, although we globally set mtu to 1600.....
