i need to order an NPE-G2
Now I have a confusion.
there is two product Nos.could someone please clarify.
the product number are
Product Number
Product Description
NPE-G2 --- Cisco NPE-G2, including 1-GB default DRAM and 256-MB default flash memory
NPE-G2= --- Cisco NPE-G2, including 1-GB default DRAM and 256-MB default flash memory, spare
What they are meaning by spare in the second one...
which one do i need to order.
I think both are same...
please help...

You need to order NPE-G2.
Actually both are same. Any Cisco product which ends witn an "=" sign is a spare component and is shipped seperately.
In your case, the NPE-G2 would be shipped along with the chassis and would be mandatory. If you need to order one more controller, then you can specify NPE-G2= which will be shipped seperately

Hi,
thanks for your prompt response.
I already have one 7206 with NPE-G1.
I need to upgrade my NPE-G1 to NPE-G2.
So do i need to order the product no as NPE-G2
or NPE-G2=
For that, I need the NPE-G2 with 1GB DRAM and 256 MB Flash.
So which one i have to choose.
Please clarify..

1GB mem comes along with it
if you want to upgrade to 2GB order MEM-NPE-G2-2GB along with it
