We have a customer experiencing this issue. Cisco says it is fixed in Call Manager version 5.0(4.2106.001) I cannot find this on the downloads page.

Do I have to open a TAC case to get this release?

Yes, it is in an ES for CCM 5.04.

workaround implied get root access, so TAC is needed. Just request latest ES for your version making reference for this DDTS.
