Is there any potential pitfall in assuming vlan.dat is the only file stored in const_nvram on the cat6k?

No, this should be the only file but to be on the safe side you can enter the command

dir const_nvram:

This should show you the full contents.

So far I've seen nothing but vlan.dat on const_nvram on the cat6k's, hence the question. I wonder what else could be there.

On a related note, just found out the 3500s had vlan.dat on flash: instead.

Yes, the desktop switches will have vlan.dat on flash:.
