IDS Sec Mon - no alarms

Does anyone know why Sec Mon will not populate any new alarms? Audit log shows: Alert Inserter Error (Insert Thread) - setStrValue: too many chars for target | Alert Inserter disconnecting from database and exiting

How do I correct this problem? Version 5.1(5)E1 on sensors Sec Mon 002.002 (000.315) Thanks

Found the problem - one sensor was sending a long message and triggering the failure

We now have the same problem. Could you provide some details on the solution, e.g. what signature that actually causes the failure?
