Can not hear Unity Voice greetings

Hi,

I have some 7906 and 7940 IP Phones in a cluster. I am trying to reach some extensions in another cluster, which are not getting answered and forwarded to their voice mail.

From 7906 Phones I am able to hear the Voice mail greetings of the remote phone. But from my 7940 IP Phone, I am not able to hear those prompts. Both devices are part of same device pools.

Is this a specific issue with 7940 IP Phones, because I am able to hear these prompts with any newly added 7906 Phones.

Hi Pete,

Can I clarify, from your 7906 phones, you can dial into the VM and hear the greetings. And when you dial from your 7940 phones, can you dial into the VM at all? Or you can dial in and not hear anything.

If it is the first issue, then maybe I would suspect the Voicemail ports CSS not being able to reach the phone partitions.

If it is the second, it could be a codec issue. Just guessing for now.

Maybe the others can give their advices.
