We have a customer who is installing CCM 5.x and would like to integrate it with his Windows LDAP directory, my question is what do we use in the BAT file for each user? Is there a document with all the fields?

You would not use BAT to import users as the users get imported from AD after succesful syncronization.

Chris

So I would just BAT in new phones and not the users? How would you assiociate the users with the new phones.

Hi Tony

We have just completed a ccm 5.1 install with LDAP integration. We used BAT to import phones and LDAP to import users from AD. We then used BAT to update users to associate the corresponding user to device. However after trial an error and some odd isssues with BAT the method we used ( as it worked )was as follows : 1) add phones using bat. 2)Create LDAP directory to import users.

3) once users imported delete LDAP directory . (If we tried updating users when the syncronisation was still enabled the bat file ran but when you went to the user the device was not there)

4) use BAT to update users and associate devices to relevant users.( when this step was done it associated the devices with the users but changed all users surnames to **SURNAME** )

5) Re-create the LDAP Directory and perform a full sync and this corrects the surnames to what they need to be.

6) Hey presto you re done.

This is how we managed to get it working, There may be other methods out there. Good Luck

regards

Shane
