No ping in pix 506e in password recovery procedure

I was following the procedure for recovering password in pix 506e but something not working when I assign for example

192.168.1.1 for pix and

192.168.1.2 for pc

and connecting them with a cross cable no one of both interfaces can ping to my pc

and my pc wont see them

I need help for this little situation and I will be thankfull for any idea

Hi .. if you have followed the below procedure. Then that is all you need. Just make sure you download the correct .bin file according to the version code you are running. Also make sure you are testing the correct interface .. you could be connecting to another a different interface instead of the one you configured the IP address to or even pehaps the cross over cable could be faulty.
