receive discards/errors

Hi all, is there any reason that lots of ports on my switch are getting receive discards/errors, I have had around 2500 in 30 mins, what is causing this on losts of different ports ?

That can have a lot of reasons. CPU load, MEM leaks. Do "show processes cpu".

Also, sometimes global duplex settings are mismatched with the stations. I.E.: if you set up all your ports to full/100, and stations have automatic, a lot of them will have problems.

What switch do you have? Does it happen on all ports? Groups of ports are controlled by one ASIC.

Also, type SHOW VER, and see if POST have finished OK.

it appeared to be a duplex, speed mismatch, I have set them to auto, now all ok
