Hi,
We have a 1200 Aironet AP which had been working fine. The image directory was deleted from the AP with the "delete /recursive ...." command.
We TFTP a new image file namely:
c1200-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEB.tar
However when we reboot the Access Point it comes up with 2 red lights and 1 amber light. When we console into the AP we get the following message
"The system is unable to boot automatically because there are no bootable files to boot"
ap:
We have tried entering in the command:
"boot c1200-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEB.tar" and we get the response:
Loading "c1200-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEB.tar"....Permission Denied.
Please help us get the AP back up and running..
Thanks,
Ian.

You have to archive and then boot the bin image - I think

The command is generated because you are "asking" the AP to boot from a .tar filename, which is invalid.
Are you currently in ROMMON? If so, can you check (by typing the "?" and press the enter key) and see if you have TFTPDNLD option available?
