Edit default End User Notification

Hi
Is it possible to edit the default Ironport end user notification. I do not want to add a custom message just change the wording of the default Ironport message a little.

Thanks

Twofold,

Currently there is not a way to completely customize the notification pages. However, this is on the roadmap for a future release.

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I will keep a look out..

:-)

Currently there is not a way to completely customize the notification pages. However, this is on the roadmap for a future release.

I'm evaluationg 5.1.1-002 and found that Customization of Notification pages is available on this release.

Hi
Yes I have seen the improvement but the default text

"Based on your corporate access policies, this web site ( http://example.com/page.html ) has been blocked because it has been determined to be a security threat to your computer or the corporate network."

This is what I have been asked to rewrite.

Currently you can redirect the notification to another URL, which means you can fully control what appears, but at the moment you can't really customize that page at all.

In AsyncOS 5.2 (due very shortly!) the notification redirection will include a number of parameters that will allow you to generate a dynamic, fully customized error page on another system.

eg, if you set your Custom notification URL to be "http://www.example.com/eun.policy.html" then the actual page it will redirect the user to will be something like :

http://www.example.com/eun.policy.html?Time=21/Jun/2007:23:22:25%20%2B0000&ID=0000000004&Client_IP=172.17.0.8&User=-&Site=www.linkedin.com&URI=index.html&Status_Code=403&Decision_Tag=BLOCK_WEBCAT-DefaultGroup&URL_Cat=Job&WBRS=-&DVS_Verdict=-&DVS_ThreatName=-

I have 5.5.2-030 and do not see where this is configurable.

This is located in:

'Security Services tab' > 'End-User Notification'

End-User Notification Pages:

Notification Type: Redirect to Custom URL
Notification Page URL: http:///

Hi Doc,

I had same problem as you stated in your previous post.

Do you have any workaround?
