Greetings
A few month ago I enabled a new set of vservers and serverfarms on our CSM. This time I used the layer 2 forwarding feature of the CSM, setting one VLAN as the client and one as the server. The exact setting is as follows.
vlan 91 server
ip address 10.91.1.6 255.255.0.0 alt 10.91.1.7 255.255.0.0
vlan 12 client
ip address 10.91.1.6 255.255.0.0 alt 10.91.1.7 255.255.0.0
gateway 10.91.1.2
Compared to the configuration I had when running layer 3 on the CSM (as is still done for some vservers) the only new addition is the "vlan 12 client" rows.
After I configured the CSM for layer 2 I started to see the CSM port channel (po260) when doing mac-address-table lookups.
Example
*12 0009.3d13.5704 dynamic Yes 230 Po260
*91 0009.3d13.5704 dynamic Yes 0 Gi7/2
Is this a problem? And is there some change in configuration that can be done to stop this? My guess is that moving the "gateway 10.91.1.2" entry from the vlan 12 client to the vlan 91 server might solve the problem but I am unsure

This issue is due to Static Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) entry not provides the ability to manually add entries to the CSM ARP table.

And how does this affect the performance of the network?
