STP priority ?
Sure, under the interface
spanning-tree port-priority [priority]

i was thinking to give priority to a specific machine which running a special program connecting in that port....does spanning tree priority covers this need?

No, STP handles loops in the network. If you are looking for Quality of Service, the 2950 switch is very limited on that aspect.
It's the source and destination device on the same switch ?

Please familiarize with QoS on 2950. Good Luck !
