Testing Modems connected to Cisco router console & aux ports

Want to test all the modems connected to my Cisco routers just to see if they are alive.

Would like to take input from a file with: name,number

and log all the failed connects to a file

Anyone already have one of these they would like to share?

We are a windows shop and use Hyperterminal and Putty clients.
