Express 500 WEB access problem

Hi,

I try to connect to the LAN switch by following the instructions with DHCP-enabled PC. With any PC, broswer, OpSys when I type the a browser cisco.com the result is an attempt to access http://169.254.0.1/espress-setup.htm which is expected. But "the page is not found" or similar message is reported. An attempt to reset to factory defaults results in message similar to "http://169.254.0.1/reset.htm not found".

Otherwise the switch is usable as an upmanaged "hub". What is wrong?

Are you trying access the switch and configure it? if so you need to type onto the brower, the switch ip address which will be the default gateway assinged to your pc.

cheers!

Solved. No problem any more. In some other thread I found that this is caused by buggy SW image in a batch of Express 500 boxes. I reflashed the box. Now the box is configured.
