Copy Run Start Problem

when running "copy running-configuration startup-configuration, I get the following error.

%Error opening flash:running-configuration (File not found)

Please post your 'show version' from this device .

Can you also try the command 'wr mem' and see if it works ?

That's not a complete 'show version'. I was looking for the current config-register setting.

Please repost the entire show version.

Did you try 'wr mem' as suggested ?

Can you also post the output from typing

'show priv'.

Gosh, I can't believe I overlooked the obvious.

The command is

copy running-config startup-config

not

copy running-configuration startup-configuration

running-configuration will be treated as a file name.
