bootstring is empty

upon bootup of a 6503 I am getting the error bootsting is empty. How can I fix this. The swicth boots up ok and woks fine but I want to get rid of this error message

You probably have a 'boot system' command, something like 'boot system disk0:', with no filename associated with it. Remove the command from the config and check.

I think you have not set any bootpath for the switch boot from the flash that's why the error message is there.Your config register is set to 0x2102 which is making the switch to boot from the flash with the avilable image.

To avoid the error set the boothpath to boot from flash or PCMCIA card:

Config t

boot system sup-bootflash:

or

boot system disk0: or boot system slot0:
