I get "error" when trying to update 7931G on the display, the phone keep rebooting couple of time before reverting to the built-in firmware.

built-in 7931G firmware:

term31.default

jar31sccp.8-1-0-90.sbn

cvm31sccp.8-1-0-90.sbn

cnu31.8-1-0-89.sbn

tnp.31.3-2-0-6.bin

dsp31.8-1-0-89.sbn

I am trying to load those file:

tftp-server flash:apps31.8-2-2ES1.sbn

tftp-server flash:cnu31.8-2-2ES1.sbn

tftp-server flash:cvm31sccp.8-2-2ES1.sbn

tftp-server flash:jar31sccp.8-2-2ES1.sbn

tftp-server flash:SCCP31.8-2-2SR1S.loads

tftp-server flash:term31.default.loads

telephony-service

load 7931 SCCP31.8-2-2SR1S

now i changed it for

load 7931 term31.default

(To keep the existing built-in firmware)

It does load all the file, but at the end the phone display "error" reset and retry to load them until it load with default firmware.

Am i missing something ? a file ? ...

Thanks !

Hi, I've recently upgraded a 7931 to SCCP31.8-2-2SR1S and there is no tnp file nor the phone request it during upgrade.

Yes, it seems to me you are missing dsp31.8-1-0-89.sbn in the tftp-server commands.

Also to not clutter too much the root directory in flash, I keep the formware files in a separate directory, eg:

tftp-server flash:/phoneloads/jar31sccp.8-2-0-55.sbn alias jar31sccp.8-2-0-55.sbn

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks !

I was missing the dsp31 file on the tftp-server.
