Is a Cisco Flash Memory necessary on router 2821 (can I use another brand)
The cost of the Cisco Flash Memory 128MB is about 5 times the cost of a non Cisco one.
I find it hard to pay, especially since Cisco does not produce them.
Has anybody every tried another brand with success ?
Thank you very much.

Hi Gregory,
Any good brand will work. The thing is that is hard to find the small sizes used on routers, and I'm not 100% sure a bigger size would work.
USB memory is less of a problem and I've used 1GB sticks from different vendors without any problem.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does

FYI
We put Kingston 512MB at 2811 and it works.
Actually Cisco Flash made by Kingston.
