Microsoft Network Load Balancing

Hello. I need help.

I have a cluster running windows 2003 server which are in a Catalyst 3560G and belong to VLAN named "servers".The Network Load Balancing cluster hosts are connected to the Ethernet switch (3560G)

which is connected to a centralized Ethernet Routing Switch (Catalyst 4510R)using a single uplink port

trunk. Clients are connected to Catalyst 4510R directly and others layer 2 swichtes Catalyst. I want to deploy Microsoft Network Load Balancing using mode Multicast. How can I do it?. What configuration have I to do in the switches (Catalyst 4510R and 3560G)?.

Thanks

I just setup an MS NLB in unicast mode and I didn't have to change a thing.

Really I would just make sure that there aren't duplicate ARP entries for the cluster IP address. Only have the new multicast ARP entry in the ARP table for that specific IP address.

Hi,

I always use the attached document for any multicast clustering of firewalls. Might be able to help you.
