IP phone "Error Passlimit" msg

Hi,all

CCM 4.2(3)ES10 with 7960G, we had configured a line on Line 3 ONLY. When we tried to use it over a speaker phone or just pick up the handset, it gave us this "Error Passlimit" error msg.

But if we pick up the line button, it works. It can receive calls or call out.

when we updated the setting on the line, it actually gave us a warning saying we need to configure Line 1.I thought in the previous version of ccm, it doesn't matter which line you are configured, it will still work....

So now we have to configure Line1 as always now???

Yes, you always have to configure Line 1, as that's what the phone defaults to using if any line isn't selected.

This is not the case if your service parameter "Use Prime Line" set to "False"...when it sets to false, the phone will pick up any available line, not always the first line.
