Dears,
I have cisco 2811 router whose IOS has been corrupted. I copied IOS c2800nm-ipbasek9-mz.124-13b.bin to flash using tftpdnld. When i tried to boot from this ios using boot flash:c2800nm-ipbasek9-mz.124-13b.bin or by reloading router, i got messages below:

HI Rameez, [Pls Rate if HELPS]
I found interesting errror in your Output:
ERR-1-FATAL: Fatal error interrupt
Explanation: This error message indicates a Hardware problem in the device.
Recommended Action: To troubleshoot try this:
1. Reload the device with no modules installed and check if the message appears.
2. Reload the device with each successive module and check to see if a certain module or mis-seated module is causing this issue.
PLS RATE if HELPS

Dear,
Thanks for your response. Currently no module is installed on router, just smart flash and built-in interfaces.
Now what you say?

Hi Rameez ,
The Cisco 2811, 2821, and 2851 routers use double data rate (DDR) error-correcting code (ECC) SDRAM, whereas the Cisco 2801 Router uses SDRAM without ECC.
ECC SDRAM is memory that can detect and correct some SDRAM errors without user intervention. ECC SDRAM replaced parity memory, which could only detect-but not correct-SDRAM errors.
Most ECC SDRAM can correct single bit errors, and detect-but not correct-larger errors. Thus, errors greater in size than 1 bit will still crash the computer.
There could be problem with SDRAM....
Please contact TAC for further investigation...
cheers :)
