Name resolution problem cisco LMS

Hi all,


i have a problem to initially discover my inventory. I always get a error message "device unreachable" within device inventory. When i select is says "can`t resolve name. How can is fix this problem. Which are the solaris files for DNS resolution?

You need to have a DNS server configured that fully resolves hostname to IP address on your devices and need to be able to do an nslookup forward and reverse.


You could try looking at your /etc/hosts file for hosts or resolv.conf for your DNS servers.
