Hi,

we are having issue with CLID when calling outside world, setup CCM -- AS5350 GW -- PSTN

this is H323 GW and PRI lines are connected to it. In the debug Q931 i can see the calling number and called number which is fine, but it doesn?t present on our mobile(Out side world)

after chasing this issue with the Telco provider, they recommend us to change

Progress Ind i = 0x8183 - Origination address is non-ISDN

Change to ISDN.

They want to change Origination address from non-ISDN to ISDN

My question:-

Is there any way where I can change the Origination ISDN type from Non-ISDN to ISDN?

GW ? AS5350

IOS - 12.3(10a)

Hi,

probably what they mean, is to change plan / type to ISDN / national, because is not really possible to change the "origination address" as far as I know.

Under interface se2:15 configure:

isdn map address . plan isdn type national

repeat the call with debug isdn q931 and let us know if it works.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip.

I have done testing with different scenario and below are the findings, when ever I make any changes I can see the affect in the debug output but still no joy.

After making every change calls made are successfully, but no CLID is presented. I believe that setup message are sending the calling Party number but its blocking some where down the line.

can you see and let me know if setup message is actual sending the Calling party number to PSTN.

Yes you have changed plan/type. Type is a local matter, is quite possible than unknown is the correct choice for UK. You see that the "origination address is not ISDN" is not even present anymore.

From your post I understand that this has not made appear the calling number on the cellphone.

If so, unfortunately I wouldn't know what to suggest now, because the above is the correct setting that all installations that I'm aware in the world are using without any issue.

Does it happens with all the cellphones networks ?

Hi,

Thanks for your help much appreciated, well we still got issue presenting CLID. its not just with mobiles, if we call to landline or mobile it comes as Private or Unknown.

I am pushing back to Telco to find out what they can see at there end. May be CILD is blocked at Telco end.

Musa

Absolutely, hopefully you will find a technician able to look into things rather that say "it's not our fault".

Thanks for the nice rating and good luck!
