meaning of pix model

hi all,

I have a document in that it got details like these.

pix535 model:

rated output:

1gbps+

upto 95 mbps 3des vpn,

2000 ipsec tunnels,

concurrent connections: 500000

i would like to know the exact meaning of this representation.

Okay some of these figures don't quite tally up with the data sheet but

1Gbps+ means that the firewll can support over 1Gbp of cleartext throughput (cleartext as opposed to encrypted). the data sheet actually states 1.7Gbps.

95mbps 3des VPN - this may well be the amount of encrypted traffic the pix 535 can support. However with a VPN Accelerator card (VAC / VAC+ ) that figure rises to 10Mbps with VAC and 425Mbps with VAC+.

2000 IPSEC tunnels. The firewall can support 2000 simultaneous IPSEC tunnels, whether these are site-to-site VPN tunnels, remote access vpn tunnels or a combination.

Concurrent connections. At any one time the firewall can support up to 500000 connections simultaneously.
