DFM DataPurge Process

Hi

Under CommonServices->Server->Reports->Process Status i can see the DataPurge Status as "Adminstrator has shutdown this server".

DMF Faulthistory PurgeJob is set to run daily. DMF Version is 2.0.4. My question is, is this the normal behaviour?

Thanks

This is fine. The healthy states for DataPurge are either "Program started - No mgt msgs received", or "Administrator has shut down this server"

The reason being is that this process runs periodically to remove old DFM fault history data and is shut down when it isn't running.

If you want to check for errors you can always look at the following logs:

dfmLogs/DPS/DPS.log (Windows), NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/DPS/DPS.log (Solaris), FHPurgeTask.log (Windows), daemons.log (Solaris)

Thanks a lot.

I found another one. DFMCTMStartup "Administrator has shutdown this Server".

This is also fine

Healthy states are:

"Program started - No mgt msgs received" or "Administrator has shut down this server"

Thank you very much.Your answer was very helpful.
