CSM-S config question

Hello,

One of our applications is using following CSM config:

!

natpool APPS-PREP-NAT 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0

! probe BMB-MS http

request method get url /bmb-ms-ctr-pp-p4/default.asp

expect status 200

interval 15

retries 2

failed 30

open 2

!

map URL-ANY url

match protocol http url /*

!

map BMB-MS-PREP header

match protocol http header Host header-value bmbms-pp.nestle.com

!

real HQBUSI0094

address 10.1.1.70

inservice

real HQBUSI0104

address 10.1.1.57

inservice

!

serverfarm BMB-MS-PREP

nat server

nat client APPS-PREP-NAT

real name HQBUSI0094

inservice

real name HQBUSI0104

inservice

probe BMB-MS

!

sticky 88 netmask 255.255.255.0 timeout 150

!

policy BMB-MS-PREP

sticky-group 88

url-map URL-ANY

header-map BMB-MS-PREP

serverfarm BMB-MS-PREP

!

vserver APPS-PREP

virtual 10.1.1.1 tcp www

persistent rebalance

slb-policy BMB-MS-PREP

inservice

!

Now the application is using layer 7 load balancing where as the stickiness being used is src ip based. My question is that if I use command "replicate csrp connection" under vserver would it help to keep an application session working if there is a CSM failover.

Thanks,

Murtaza

I have this problem too.

Murtaza,

yes you need both "replicate csrp connection" and "replicate csrp sticky" to guarantee that operation will continue transparently after failover.

You need to replicate the sticky table as well with "replicate csrp sticky".
