dear sir,

the vg248 will reboot itself after sometime. Attached are the event log & screen capture details. I suspect this is due to the main image. At the moment, the vg248 is running image 1.3(1) . Do you think upgrade to main image 1.3(2) is a good idea? If yes, please provide the steps to upgrade . Please advise. Your effort shall be highly appreciated.

thanks.

We had a similar problem to this. It turned out there was a bug in the code (and it was in future revisions) that rebooted the vg248 when a device we had attached could not handle the second incoming call properly.

For any devices that are not human answered and can provide call waiting beep, configure only one incoming line and busy signal of 1.

This is for stuff like loud bells, paging adapters, etc.

Try that out.

hi lfulgenzi,

Thank you for yor response , so do you think upgrade the main image from 1.3(1) to 1.3(2) is a good idea? If yes, please advise the steps to perform the task.

thanks & appreciation.

Question unrelated to the problem:

Isn't VG224 and VG248 supposed to run IOS ?

VG224 runs IOS, VG248 runs menu driven o/s sorta like the old Aironet APs did.

so do you guys think upgrade the main image from 1.3(1) to 1.3(2) is a good idea and these able to solve the issue? If yes, please advise the steps to perform the task. How to upgrade the main image?

thanks & appreciation.
