Hi,

How can I configure WS-CE500-24TT switch to send alerts to syslog server.

the thing is that i have 1841 router notifies me that the interface which connects to switch goes down periodically.

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/0, changed state to down

what should i do?

You can use SNMP to get the Syslog messages from CE500 and send you a syslog sever.

Or else you can also use the Cisco Network Assistant software to generate event notifications.
