3550 switch? i followed the procedures from http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk389/tk815/technologies_configuration_example09186a008019e74e.shtml and am able to route between VLANs on the switch, but i cant ping the next hop router

i cant ping 192.168.1.101 from vlan3...is there any configuration required that isnt listed on the page i referenced?

It appears R2 doesn't know how to route traffic to 10.6.2.x network. Add static routes on R2 to route traffic to vlan 2 & 3 to forward the traffic to the 3550 switch. Alternatively, you can enable a dynamic routing protocol between the 3550 and R2.

Yes you either have to add static routes on both sides so that both sides know how to get to the subnets on the other box or implement a routing protocol like ospf or eigrp. Static routes are a pain to keep up use a routing protocol if possible and the 3550 supports it.
