We have a number of deployed call managers. I was tasked to change the default windows Administrator user name to something other than administrator. Some of our boxes will not allow the change the come up saying "Access Denied" when making the changed. The account is part of the administrator group. Anyone seen this before?

Isn't it the case that the Windows default administrator account cannot be changed or removed. If you want to use a different name, simply create and add the new user to the administrator group in Windows. Then you can do the same in Callmanger.
I tried to search for some more evidence but I would also like to know if this can be acheived.

Hi,
In my environment, the administrator account is renamed to something else. So this is possible. Try to log in using the administrator account and renaming it.
Remember that you have to rename this back to administrator whenever you are doing any server patching or upgrades.
