VPN Blue screens on Wireless Connection

Hello,

We are currently experiencing a problem where the current Cisco VPN 5.0.00.0340 client is crashing on random machines while running over a wireless connection. We have encountered this on HP, IBM and Dell laptops all running Windows XP SP2. The most recent errors we have received are as follows:

Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 5.0.00.0340

Client Type(s): Windows, WinNT

Running on: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2

Config file directory: C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\

1 22:24:53:731 07/12/07 Sev=Warning/2 CVPND/0xE3400013

Add Route failed to add a route: code 87

Destination XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (IP address)

Netmask 255.255.255.255

Gateway 10.218.0.1

Interface 10.218.0.106

2 22:24:53:731 07/12/07 Sev=Warning/2 CM/0xA3100024

Unable to add route. Network a9feffff, Netmask: fffffffff, Interface: ada006a,Gateway: ada0001.

3 22:24:53:731 07/12/07 Sev = Warning/2 CVPND/0xE3400013

AddRoute failed to add a route: code 87

The errror message goes on a bit longer but comes from the VPN Log. The systems consistently blue screen while connected to any wireless connection.

THus far we have upgraded the Cisco client on each machine, installed any and all software updates for Windows, and have even completely reimaged one machine in an effort toresolve the issue. Initially the VPN client upgrade to version 5 resolved the problem; however it was only a temporary fix. We are running a variety of other applications on the machines and the only common denominators seem to be that each machine regardless of manufacturer is running an Intel Wireless card (various models).

We are currently in the process of testing a roll back on the Intel driver to see if this resolves the issue but any assistance we can receive would be greatly appreciated it. This is really wreaking havoc on our sales force and creating chaos in the IT department.

The supported version of Sygate Personal Firewall is version 5.0, build 1175. Earlier versions might cause the following Blue screen to occur on a Windows NT-based system that has made many connects/disconnects with the VPN Client

Stop: 000000d1 (BAD0B0B8, 00000002, 00000000, BFF12392)

Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal

We are not using the Sygate Personal Firewall. The only firewall in place on the local computer is the Windows basic firewall. Thanks for the information though!
