FAX - redirection query

Hi

One of our client office is getting shifted from A location to B location.

A location has DDI range which includes also a FAX number.

Service Provider is ready to redirect the complete range of the DDI to the new location B DDI number. My query is when a end user faxes to A location number is it possible to separate the fax call when it is received on the DDI range of B?

Anybody has tried it out or we need to request the customer that only new FAx number needs to be published for their office change?

Appreciate your response

regards

Hi Sundara,

This can work very well! We went through a change like this some time ago where more than 100 Fax numbers had to be re-directed from DN-A to DN-B and this was seamless. As long as the Telco knows the correlation between the "old" Fax number at location A and the "new" Fax number at location B you should be good to go!

Hope this helps!

Rob

Hi Rob,

SP is not mapping one to one redirection in this case. A location has complete DDI Range and in this one number is a FAX number. SP is ready to redirect the complete block to location B's DDI number. Once the call lands at the gateway, intelligently any possiblity that Call Manager can separate the Fax call and sent to B's FAX number?.

Appreciate your response.
