We have recently been purchased by another company. They need to connect to our hq from two of their remote sites. They will be dropping two lines from two different providers to our hq. One line is a 100mb line that will be optical (fiber), the other is also a 100 mb line that will be electrical (rj45). In our hq we have two 6509's, one is on our ground level and the other is on the 2nd floor. How can we acheieve redunancy for the new lines that will be run to our new owners?
(We also have 2960 switches that provide redunancy to our other site by connecting the fiber uplink from that site in the 2960 and both 6509s.)

You may connect siteA to 6509 on groundlevel.
And connect the siteB to 6509 on 2nd level.
Connect up SiteA and SiteB back to back.
Cheers!

Is this all we need for redunancy?

Hi
Are you running the links as simple L2 or using any routing protocols out there ?
Also if possible can you post a topological diagram on how the devices are connected..

If cost is not a concern, you may run 2x links from siteA to 2x core switches and
2x links from SiteB to 2x core switches separately.

Cost is def a factor, we're a non profit.
