vmps problem (cisco 2950)

I see, that the cisco is frequently sending vmps (vqp) requests. Instead of one per 60 minutes, I see a lot more.

Can someone explain why ?

I ONLY HAVE THIS PROBLEM WHEN THE SWITCH IS CONNECTED TO ANOTHER SWITCH ! IF IT RUNS 'stand alone', ALL SEEMS TO WORK AS IT SHOULD BE. WHY ?

HELP !!
