In my notes, I have the following for reinitializing the Campus Manager db back to zero, applicable to both verions 3.3 and 4.0. But last night I found out DCR got wiped clean, along with CM's Data Collection and UT after I executed these steps. Where did it go wrong?
/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf
Does "cmf" stand for "campus manager framework" or "common service management framework"?
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/campus/bin/reinitdb.pl -restore
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbpasswd.pl listdsn
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbpasswd.pl dsn=ani encryption=yes npwd=newpasswd
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbpasswd.pl dsn=cmf encryption=yes npwd=newpasswd
/etc/init.d/dmgtd start

its this line that deletes the content of your cmf DB
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf
DCR information is stored in the cmf db along with Device Selector settings and some OGS info (Object Grouping; e.g. user defined groups for CS, Campus and DFM)

You'll probably want to clear everything again after doing this. If CMF is cleared (even if you didn't mean it) it should be done last. So you should clear all other DB's and then clear CMF and restore from backup

Are you saying I should:
1) /opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=ani dmprefix=ANI
2) /opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/campus/bin/reinitdb.pl -restore
3) /opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf
Do I need to reinit the RME db between 2) and 3)?
/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=rmeng dmprefix=RME
What potential problems would I face if I don't reinit the RME db?
