Interconnection L3-6509 to Nortel Switch Problem

Hi All,

The topology is like this:

L3-6509 --- Nortel_1850 --- Nortel_Passport_8600 --- Nortel_1800 --- Client_PC

The configuration on L3-6509 is sub interface with encapsulation dot1q and IP address 192.168.0.1/24. Circuit between Nortel 1850 to Nortel 1800 is based on L2 link (TDI). Client IP address is 192.168.0.2/24. Ping from client PC to L3-6509 didn't work. If I replace the L3-6509 with Cisco 2600 or L3-4908, both with sub interface and encapsulation dot1q, ping from client PC is working. I think the problem is with L3-6509 IOS.

IOS version for L3-6509 is s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF5.bin.

IOS version for L3-4908 is cat2948g-in-mz.120-14.W5.20.bin

IOS version for 2600 Router is c2600-is-mz.122-4.T1.bin

Can someone help me for this problem ?

Are you using fiber between the Nortel 1850 and the 6509? If so you may need to force the fiber port you are using on the 6509 to the correct speed and duplex settings.
