Unity Subscriber VM Off Premise Transfer

Unanswered Question
Jul 18th, 2007

I have a customer that wants to set an after hours vm box that will transfer to two different external phone numbers.

Q1- What is the safe way to transfer off the system without being vulnerable to phone hackers?

Q2- What is the best way for users to administer the external numbers for the different oncall people without having to get into system programming.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have this problem too.

This can be accomplished in the following way.

You would create a subscriber in Unity giving it a passcode. People would call into this subscriber through a DID number. This would play some sort of message of your choice and attempt release to switch to a specific number. Lets just say 1000, so users didn't have to get into callmanager you can forward 1000 from a phone to whatever extension you would like. This does not accomplish the two different phone numbers at the same time but is the only possible way to give users controll.
