Hello to all,
I need some help concerning the 2960 series switches:
1. the Optical interface option of the Dual Purpose Gigabit Ethernet Uplinks, can also be used as an access port?(ex. connection to a terminal station?)
2. For those forementioned Dual Purpose Gigabit Ethernet Uplinks, optical interfaces are preinstalled or extra hot-swappable SFP Optic converters are needed to be bought?
I would appreciate answers from anyone who really knows...
Thank you in advance,
Panagiotis.

These ports can be used as access ports, and unfortunately you will need to purchase SFP modules.

Hello Panagiotis,
1.Yes.
2.No, you should buy them exclusively.
