Hi
I've configured all my trunk connections to have the following:
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 9
switchport mode trunk
All ports on my switch are trunk ports. However if I do show vlan brief I see all my ports listed in the default vlan i.e 1. Shouldn't they be in vlan 9? Can anyone explain this behaviour.
Thanks
Dan

Dan,
Just to clear up the things, a trunkport is basically a port which belongs to all the vlan. Its doesnot belong to single vlan and it will never show you the same under " show vlan " if your trunk is working properly. If your port is not an active port and a trunkport, bydefault all the ports will be in vlan 1. The trunk port which is working fine should should you it as a port of both the vlan1 and the native vlan 9.
Do " show interface trunk " on your switch and it should tell you the same.

Are your trunk links up up and actively trunking?

Hi,
Only two trunks ports have somehting connected into them, the remainder haven't. It's those that are showing up in vlan 1.
Thanks
