I need information about encryption protokols in some products: IDS-4215-4FE-K9, CISCOSB101-K9, NFC-5.0-SW-K9,WS-C6509-E-FWM-K9 WS-SVC-IDS2-BUN-K9. They have K9 suffix, that means strong encryption, but description's of this products doesn't have any information about it.

The k9 subsystem has support for longer keys, which means it implements 3des and 256 bit AES.

True, but not on all platforms. You'll want to check the feature navigator for your platform to verify 3DES and/or AES.

HTH and please rate.

Is this assumes for any images? Sometimes in descriptions of products with K9 subsystem have only reference that 3DES implementedn not AES, and sometimes no reference to any encryption algorithm...

Most of the ISR routers will support 3DES and AES with the K9 image. However running AES with just the routers CPU (no encryption AIM) could cause problems, depends on how much traffic the router has to encrypt.

But, for example IDS-4215-4FE-K9 is intrusion detection service module, so question is, why it has K9 suffix in name and in description there is no information about encryption protocols.

It uses SSH which is part of the K9 image set.
