C2500 DCE to DTE Back to back Cable

I trying to setup a test envirement using two 2514 routers with two switches. I am connecting the routers via Serial with a DCE to DTE back to back cable. The switches are connected via Ethernet. I cannot get the serial connections to come up. This is what I have for the serial setup.

Router 1

interface Serial0

ip address 192.168.3.1 255.255.255.0

Router 2

interface Serial0

ip address 192.168.3.2 255.255.255.0

Hi,

Please add the clockrate command under the serial interface of the DCE side, you can keep the encapsulation as HDLC (default) or you can use PPP or FR according to your need:
