Hi All,
I was wondering if Cisco Access Registrar has any function of assigning static (not dynamic pool) ip addresses to a bulk of users.
To bee more specific. We need to assign addresses to various companies. each company will have many clients (mobile). The request is that each mobile client have the same address so as they can easily track it. This requirement though adds administrative overhead, to keep track of what is the last static address given to last user (not to add the problem of deleting users etc..).

Hi,
Yes this can be done by CAR, under the customer profile attributes:
set Framed-IP-Address x.x.x.x
set Framed-IP-Netmask y.y.y.y

Hi,
What I am actually lokking into is an "automated" method to do it for me.
What I need to avoid, is excactly what you discribed above. If we could somehow have a function where the CAR would automatically select and provisioned a static Framed-IP-Address by looking at it's "resources" or IP Inventory?
Regards.
