NAT question

I have just installed an ISA server to handle internet requests from the clients. I want to create an acl on the ASA that will only allow internet access via the ip of the ISA server. If I create a static nat from the ip of the server to a public address will this be a problem? Will my one public address be taxed? Can I create a pool of addresses for the ISA server to use? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike

No it should be fine since the ISA server will have to keep track of all the client ip addresses and port mappings.

The pix will just change the IP addresses and leave the ports alone if you use a static translation so it should have no issues as the limiting factor will always be the number of ports available on the ISA server.

Thanks for the info Jon.
