Hello,

This is regarding SNMP config on 2980G Catos switch for ver 8.4.9

We have issued the following commands on the switch:

1)For SNMP Access list : set snmp access-list access_number IP_address [ipmask maskaddr]

I would like to know how binding of access-list are done and where when we defining for SNMP configuration

Regards,

Arindam

You can do by using following two commands

router(config)#snmp-server community MyCommunity972 RW 10

router(config)#access-list 10 permit 192.168.1.23

{Note: RW 10 that much be match with access-list No}

Regards,

Dharmesh Purohit

There is no binding required. The access-list number mentioned is referenced for all the SNMP inout packets.

Its something similar to using access-list when debugging or for PBR.
