Hi,
I am not sure on whether the 2851 below comes with 256MB or 1GB of RAM? That
WAAS module has 1GB, but is that considered somehow a complement to RAM memory?
I want to make sure I will order a router robust and which can sustant IOS
versions for year to come.
Please suggest the amount of RAM and flash memory people are ordering
to make sure I buy a scalable router.

The Sec9 bundle comes with default 256MB RAM and 64MB flash.
However if you want to increase it here are the options avaialble

The router comes with 256MB Ram and 64MB Flash.
The WAAS is a WAN optimization and application accelerator http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6474/products_data_sheet0900aecd8058218c.html

Are you buying a 2851 for just 1 T1 link ?
Seems excessive ...

Initially T1 MPLS. Later I could put DS-3 there.

If you plan to put a DS3 at a later stage i would suggest looking into the 3800 series instead of the 2800.
The 2800 series do not support full rate T3/E3 but only subrate

I wouldn'be too worried about T3 performances on a 2851. Attaching here the performance sheet that Narayan has previously posted.
Go over the numbers and use common sense. Remember that certain tables have a 'sales sense' while technical analysis and experience can reveal otherwise.
For example we learn that a 2851 is rated for 220 Kpps, while a 3660 only 120. Still, in the NM-T3/E3 datasheet, the T3 module is "full rate" for the 3660 while only "sub-rate" for the 2800 series that is strangely grouped together, while we know that each model has different performances.
And yes, I've been buying and selling Cisco router for a looong time :)
