Phones Reset, PC's lose connectivity

Unanswered Question

I have recently installed a Call Manager Solution running 4.2. At random intervals certain phones will completely reset and the PC's will lose connectivity. There is one MDF and one IDF all with Cisco 3560 48 port POE's. They are all maxed out.

The switch's have a pretty simple config. One data VLAN, one Voice VLAN. I question the cable in this facility, however, I would need to be able to prove this. It's a new facility.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would suggest first looking at Spanning tree to see how your Layer 2 environment looks. I know you have two switches but this may help you.

sh spanning-tree vlan detail

You can see who the root bridge is and then how many times your Spanning Tree for that VLAN reconverged. Then you can even see which port had caused the reconvergence.

I have had customers with this scenario causing issues because some of theirports were not portfasted.
